Call for tender for the EFFAT project “Strengthening social dialogue in the agri-food sector” – “StrongerSDAgriFood

As regards its project “Strengthening social dialogue in the agri-food sector”, EFFAT is looking for an external expert to assist the EFFAT Secretariat with carrying out research among social partners to gain insights on following issues:

  • social partners in the agri-food sector;
  • representativeness of social partners in the agri-food sector and the reasons behind low representativeness;
  • assessment of sectoral social dialogue in the agri-food sector;
  • level of collective bargaining coverage in the agri-food sector;
  • good practices of collective bargaining and of initiatives to grow membership of trade unions in the agri-food sector;
  • obstacles and barriers to social dialogue and collective bargaining in agri-food sector;
  • recommendations for overcoming obstacles and barriers to social dialogue and collective bargaining in the agri-food sector;
  • wage regulations in Europe, including minimum wages settled by law and/or collective agreements, labour costs (social security and taxes), access to social security for those in non-standard forms of employment and legal direct deductions for benefits in kind provided by employer.

The external expert shall produce a report to compile the findings and the main recommendations and a summary of report for dissemination purposes. The report and the summary shall be written in English.

The external expert will assist EFFAT also in disseminating the findings of the research to the Steering Committee at its meetings (3 in total, all online) and to the broader audience at the Final conference.
