EFFAT and the ETUI are jointly organising the training course “Youth Empowerment: organising young workers through Health and Safety” from 15 to 17 February 2022 in Madrid.

The pandemic has shown how important occupational health and safety is for protecting workers’ health, and for creating safe, healthy working environments, and promoting a safety culture in the workplace.

This training course will offer participants the opportunity to analyse and develop organising strategies and actions focused on health and safety in the Food, Agriculture, Tourism, Hospitality, Domestic Workers, and Fast Food sectors.

Date 15-17 February 2022 (arrival 14 Feb)
Participants 20 participants who are members of the EFFAT Youth Committee/Bureau and young workers operating in the EFFAT sectors who have already gained some experience in unionising and youth work.

Participants should be highly motivated to develop their lead organiser skills and have potentially already some ideas of a target or an action plan that they wish to implement

Languages English and Spanish
Costs Accommodation (3 nights), travel, meals according to the programme, materials will be covered by ETUI Education, only for participants coming from member states of the European Union, Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey.
Objectives of the seminar · share experiences of organising young workers and youth through campaigns focusing on Health and Safety issues.
  · analyse the communication strategies on Health and Safety targeting young people;
  · contribute to strategies and action plans for organizing youth.
