For the EFFAT project “EFFAT Academy for Capacity Building”, external expertise is required to support the EFFAT Secretariat to develop sectoral and cross-sectoral activities on organising and capacity building.
Under this work, the external expert will assist the EFFAT Secretariat with the following:
- Carry out sectoral and thematic trainings on organising and capacity building,
- Examine the decline of trade union membership in EFFAT sectors,
- Identify and scope the possible reasons for why EFFAT members have had challenges of including underrepresented groups of workers in their trade union structures across our various sectors,
- Identify good practices and a range of possible actions available to EFFAT affiliates across our sectors to improve trade union representation, and
- Examine the various models of social dialogue and collective bargaining across EFFAT affiliates and the impacts on EFFAT workers.
The external expert will assist EFFAT also in disseminating the findings of the research to the Project Steering Group at its meetings and to the broader audience at the Final Conference.
