EFFAT has contributed to the negotiations that led to the set-up of a European Works Council (EWC) at Intersnack Group.
The EWC will ensure that the group workers coming from 20 different member states will be informed and consulted by management on economic, social and environmental challenges along with business situation development and prospects, corporate culture and rules applying throughout the Intersnack group. The discussion will be open, based on mutual trust and respect.
As a next step, members of the EWC will be appointed or elected in the different Member States so that the newly established body can promptly take its full functions.
