INVITATION

To the EFFAT Member Organisations in the Tourism Sector

Dear colleagues,

We have the pleasure to invite you to the plenary meeting of the Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee Horeca, which will take place on Friday, 27 November 2020 from 9.30 am to 12.45 pm.

Main items on the agenda will be:

  • Ways forward to overcome the COVID-19 crisis in the hospitality sector
    – Panel discussion with guest speakers from EC, EP and EESC
    – Presentation of the joint HOTREC-EFFAT position paper
  • Oher topics followed by the social partners
    – Platform Economy
    – Qualification and Training
    – European Platform tackling Undeclared Work
    – Sexual Harassment and Violence at Work
  • Policy developments and initiatives in the field of employment and social affairs
  • HOTREC-EFFAT Work Programme 2021-2022

Simultaneous interpretation will be provided: active EN, FR, DE; passive IT, ESP.

The videoconference will be held via Interactio, an online conferencing system set up and organized by the European Commission.

Please note that there will be no separate preparatory meetings, as EFFAT members will have the opportunity to discuss at the General Assembly of the EFFAT Tourism Sector on 26 November 2020 (9.30 am – 12.30 pm).

Attached you will find the official invitation and agenda. The link to the Interactio meeting, as well as further working documents will be sent in the running up to the meeting.

Please confirm your participation as soon as possible, before 20 November 2020 at the latest. Even though this will be a videoconference meeting, the EC does need the list of participants for reporting purposes.

Participants will receive more information on how to connect to the online meeting in due time, as we are awaiting further instructions from the EC.
